Pay starting at $24/hour
Responsibilities
Responsible for effective replacement of forklift wheels/tires in the field
Plan methods and sequence of performing repairs assigned
Pre-order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs
Effect the repairs in a safe and effective manner
Ensure all repairs complete as assigned and the cosmetic appearance are up to standards
Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition
Maintain shop tools, equipment and vehicles
Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition. Wear all personal protective equipment, as required; and urges others to do so.
Qualifications
Strong potential to develop good mechanical skills, good communication skills, and safe work habits
Be able to work independent of direct supervision in a field environment
Contribution to spirit of teamwork and cooperation through the branch location, specifically with parts personnel and other service technicians
A technical school or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs is preferred, but not required
Valid driver's license; clean MVR
Must be 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment and facilitate repairs.
Continuously lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20-50 pounds.
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
Consistently exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.
